Click a slot, then click a card. Click a card already in a slot to take it back. Leave a player blank to run them as a random hand. With the flop or turn out, the calculator counts every remaining runout exactly; preflop it samples 120,000 boards, which lands within about a tenth of a percent.
Equity is your share of the pot if the hand were dealt out to the river a very large number of times. If you have 35% equity in a $100 pot, your slice is worth $35 on average. That number is the foundation of nearly every decision in poker: you call when the pot is laying you better odds than your equity requires, and you fold when it is not.
Win percentage and equity are not quite the same thing. When two hands can split the pot, equity counts half a pot for each side, so equity is always win% plus half of tie%. The calculator shows both.
These are exact figures, computed by enumerating all 1,712,304 possible boards for each matchup rather than estimating.

Two of those rows are worth staring at. Aces do better against A-K (87.9%) than against 7-2 offsuit (87.4%), which feels wrong until you notice that A-K has one of its two cards nearly dead. Domination costs a hand more than being weak does. And A-K suited against a pair of deuces is a genuine coinflip at 50.1%, one of the closest spots in Hold'em.
Suits matter more than most charts admit. A♠A♥ against K♦K♣ is 81.3%, but against K♠K♥ it rises to 82.6%, because sharing suits kills some of the kings' flush outs. Any chart quoting a single number for "AA vs KK" is rounding over that.
You will not run a calculator mid-hand. What you do instead is count outs, the cards that turn a losing hand into a winning one, and convert.

The shortcut is the rule of 2 and 4: on the flop, multiply your outs by 4 for a rough chance of getting there by the river; on the turn, multiply by 2. It is accurate to about a point up to nine outs, which covers almost every real spot. Past that it drifts, and the rule of 4 badly overshoots on monster draws, claiming 60% where the truth is 54.1%. The reason is that the shortcut double-counts the runouts where you hit on both streets.
Equity only answers half the question. The other half is pot odds: the price you are being offered.
If the pot is $100 and someone bets $50, you are risking $50 to win $150, so you need to be right $50 / $200 = 25% of the time to break even. With a flush draw on the flop at 35%, that call is clearly profitable. With a gutshot at 16.5%, it is not, at least not on the strength of the draw alone.
The general form: break-even % = call / (pot + bet + call). Compare that number to your equity. If your equity is higher, calling makes money over time. This is the single most useful piece of arithmetic in poker, and it is worth being fast at it.

This calculator is Texas Hold'em only. Omaha uses exactly two hole cards plus three from the board, which changes the maths enough to need a separate tool.
